Our Instructors & Staff Members
Our Instructors have spent many years devoted to training in the art of Taekwondo and other martial arts and have attained a certain level of expertise to qualify them as teachers and also mentors.
Through extensive testing, certification and tournament level competition, our staff has attained mastery in this martial art and now enjoy sharing their skill and passing it on to their students. Here are a few of US West Coast Taekwondo Association's instructors and other staff members, starting with Sang-Bum Yun:
Sang-Bum Yun (6th/Chief Master)
6TH DEGREE BLACK BELT TAEKWONDO AND 30YEARS EXPERIENCE TAEKWONDO GRADUATE YONGIN UNIVERSITY WITH TAEKWONDO MAJOR

Seung-Yun Lee (Master instructor)
Seung-Yun Lee has numerous credentials and accomplishments. We will be updating this section shortly to detail them.

Gabby Obegi (Chief Operating Officer)
Gabby Obegi is a 2nd degree Black Belt and Chief operating officer of the Vancouver, Milwaukie and Camas locations. He has been with USWC Taekwondo with his two kids for almost four years.

Steve Bowen (Master instructor)
Master Bowen is a 4th degree black belt in Taekwondo and a black belt in Hapkido. He has been training for about seventeen years and specializes in coaching the sparring program.

Trey Seymour (Instructor)
Trey is a 2nd degree Black Belt with the power of a Grizzly Bear and the heart of a Teddy Bear. He has been practicing Taekwondo since he was ten years old and is now a primary instructor of the Tiny Tigers and other classes at the Vancouver and Camas locations.

Philip Lee (Instructor)
Philip Lee is a 3rd degree Black Belt with numerous awards and accomplishments in Taekwondo. Philip is best known for his amazing board breaking stunts. He has just graduated from high school and will be off to college in the fall.

Philip Park (Instructor)
Phillip Park is almost a 2nd degree Black Belt and a primary Tiny Tiger instructor at the Camas location where over fifty Tiny Tigers enjoy his youthful energy and sharp Taekwondo instruction. Phillip is also instrumental in the education of our other classes at both the Camas and Vancouver locations.

Krissy Callahan
Krissy Callahan is a 3rd degree Black Belt training for Nationals and the 2012 Olympics. She has won a number of Gold medals in Sparring and is an instructor at the Vancouver school. Krissy is on long term leave, but still considered a dear member of our studio.

Jennifer Javier (School Manager)
Jennifer Javier is the School Manager of the Vancouver location. She has been training in Taekwondo since she was 10 years old. She is still working towards her black belt after leaving and returning to the sport several times. She is currently a brown belt and has previously won competitions in forms and sparring.
